Hickmott duo aiming to fire in Saturday feature

Michael Hickmott will be hoping to make amends for missing last week’s Gawler Cup with Danon Roman and Aqueduct when they line up in Saturday’s $100,000 John Letts Cup (1800m) at Morphettville.

Hickmott was forced to miss the Gawler feature won by Tubby Two Tracks with the pair who will tackle the race formerly known as the Tokyo City Cup.

Danon Roman finished fifth at his South Australian debut in the Murray Bridge Cup from a wide gate while Aqueduct was runner-up in the same race after winning his first three races in Australia.

Todd Pannell sticks with Danon Roman while Jessica Eaton will again ride Aqueduct.

The interesting runner in the race is Victorian Sentimentalist who put together consecutives wins last campaign when under the care of former jockey Mark Pegus and was only beaten 3.65 lengths first-up for new trainer Paul Preusker at Caulfield earlier this month.
