Eye Catchers: November Trials

Trial One

Chevite was well backed last Saturday before fading late to finish last but he bounced back this morning to score a comfortable victory in the first trial of the day and looks to be one that will benefit from both of his recent runs.

Winning Partner & Texas Jack from the Tony McEvoy stable both looked to have talent and worked home to the line very nicely to run second and third.

Trial Two

Autumn Street looks set for a good campaign after recording a two length win under Emily Finnegan in the second trial for the mare’s new trainer Chris Bieg.

Another horse with a new stable, Regal Spur finished off strongly to finish third for new trainer Tony McEvoy while Pale Ale also ran on well. After a fantastic campaign across the border, Steel Frost did it very easily with minimal pressure to finish in sixth place for Todd Pannell.

Trial Three

Tycoon Sofie was an impressive winner in her trial and looks to be an improver this campaign while Sawaiki worked home magnificently from the rear of the field to run into second spot and looks like one to follow in his four-year-old season.

Trial Four

Winner of his only race start, Wallace Street looks to be a very smart horse as he took out his trial by 4.5 lengths over a lot of un-raced horses.

Trial Five

Rustydustysunshine looked like a debut win won’t be too far away claiming the final trial by two lengths while the Tony McEvoy trained Kensington Kid ran home strongly for fourth with an eye-catching run.

The Richard Jolly trained Purrfect Kisses looked to come back in great order after her last start run in the Listed Oaklands Plate in July. A race which has produced two Stakes winners since, including Group 1 placed Bring Me Roses.
